Any tips for killing ceadeus on monster hunter tri?

I really want to get a deep dragongem from a ceadeus on monster hunter tri and I’ve been unlucky with the three I have killed so far in tht I haven’t got one yet :p it takes me about 2 and a half go’s so an hour and 15mins to kill one, can anyone give me tips so tht I can kill it in 2 go’s
I’m using all the ballista ammo and they all hit and I hit 2/3 dragonater and I use the lagia great Sword which I’m really gd with, so any tips for killing the ceadeus quicker would be a great help

The first thing I would do is go online to get strong Weapons, it really does the trick. If your using the Lagia GS then its no wonder that it takes so long.

But if you want the Ceadeus eq before you go online then I would get some armour with skills like Atk up (M / L), Elemental Atk Up or Crit Eye +2 / 3. That should help speed things up a little.

A tip for using the GS would be to use your charge attack properly. As in one or two normal attack then one charge. Since Ceadeus is really slow the charge attack will really help.

One last tip would be attacking it at a spot where you get pushed forewards by it wiouth having to move yourself. This will save some time instead of having to seathe, swim ahead, attack and repeat every 10 seconds.
